The Lancaster Hotel - Houston

the breakfast at the hotel was super with healthy items such as salmon. the accommodation had a central location to galveston port. besides, we were so close to the theatre, restaurants, buffalo bayou, discovery green, and houston's extensive tunnels, and the theater district and lots of restaurants and shops.

Fairly large reasonable value hotel with a marvellous location next to the theatre, restaurants, Buffalo Bayou, Discovery Green, and Houston's extensive tunnels and downtown locations. Outstanding eggs, sausages, bacon, cheese and meats in the morning. Bright rooms with champagne and the same refined style and all the good things and incredible staff.

The staff was helpful, ensuring every need was met. With a delicious breakfast and luxurious, comfortable beds, relaxation was effortless. Great location in the theater district, everything felt accessible. Can't wait for my next visit!

The exercise facility is so small that it is almost pointless. The showers need updating, as do other amenities like the television.

This is the second time we have stayed in your hotel. We like it because it is close to the theaters. The staff was courteous and gave good directions to get to restaurants and Theater. Also the hotel was interesting because it was one of few that wasn't "glitsy". It was nice to see it was owned by the same family that started it.

Deluxe king room with very comfortable beds, a Pacman machine, for example was ready when we checked-in...

The breakfast was amazing and the snacks in the penthouse were a lifesaver after our late arrival. The location is great for exploring, and we loved relaxing in the spacious living room with the big tv. Excellent service from the staff.

Close to some of the best venues in the city.

Rooms had character without feeling dated. Very comfortable bed. Staff was courteous and restaurant is outstanding.

Bath tubs need updating

Room was spacious, staff very friendly. Very convenient to concert hall and opera house. But be warned: downtown Houston in this area is pretty dead on Saturday afternoon and night!

Only one complaint - a charge for bottled water that was not used by us. There is also an $8.50 charge for other things, including breakfast even if you do not use it. It took two e mails and a phone call to clear up the $2.50 but credit was given. But overall the room was a bargain, thanks to a special that appeared on Booked.net.

The elegant decor and spacious accommodations. The complimentary minibar with drinks and sweets was a rare bonus, and the breakfast buffet exceeded my expectations. The service in the restaurant was a bit lacking at times, as I felt overlooked. The sparkling wine I received was flat, although the staff promptly remedied it. This hotel provides a luxurious experience with a warm atmosphere, ideal for a retreat.
